Cop Takes A Break From Duty To Hold Baby While Mom Takes A College Exam

Small acts of kindness can truly make a large difference in the lives of complete strangers.

Fortunately, there are plenty of people out there who are willing to lend help to those who need it most, like this officer who surprised a server with a check to help him achieve his academic goals.

And now, a photo of a different police officer is going viral for the same beautiful reason.

Kristina Marie Spires of Dublin, GA,posted a photo to her Facebook page showing a local police officer holding a baby in his arms. As she writes, the officer is watching the baby so that the infant’smother can take her college exam.

While babysitting is not part of the Dublin police officer’s job description, this small act has made it so much easier for this mother-student to further her education, and to provide an even better life for herself and her child.

College can be a difficult time for any student, but for those who are taking care of a small child at the same time, it can be nearly impossible.

Thankfully, one officer was willing to lend a hand to make it the tiniest bit easier for one mother trying to earn her degree.

Kristina Marie Spires (a college student herself) posted the incredible image on Facebook, which is now touching souls and melting hearts around the world.

Spires writes on Facebook:

“The officer was at the college holding a little girl while her mother took a test.

“Little girl was sound asleep, and the kind officer walked around with her selflessly.”

This beautiful image of an officer from the Dublin Police Department has now been shared thousands of times on social media.

His willingness to go above and beyond to help a mother take her exam has truly resonated with folks around the globe.

Spires continues on Facebook:

“I can’t explain the smile this brought to my face.

“Officers do not wear a uniform so they can break rules, they wear a uniform so they can help people.”

While Spires didn’tidentify the officer, his moving actions just go to show how much of a difference we can make when we truly look out for one another.
