Dad And 6-Year-Old Daughter Go Missing On Boat Trip. 27 Days Later Their Boat Shows Up
Many parents dream of getting to take their children on adventures around the world. It’s always amazing to expose your kids to global cultures and new experiences.
Unfortunately it’s not always in the cards traveling can be expensive, time-consuming, and stressful so many parents choose to expose their children to other cultures using books, television, movies, and stories.
One lucky man, Alan Langdon, had the amazing opportunity to go on a boat trip with his six-year-old daughter, Que, off the coast of New Zealand.
The pair were planning on traveling to the Bay of Islands in New Zealand, but they hit some rough weather, so they changed route. The bad weather damaged the boat, but Alan says he never really felt that he and Q were in any serious danger.
From that point, they had to continue sailing with only one rudder, which was more difficult than Alan was expecting. Alan, an experienced sailor, saw it as a challenge instead of a scary situation.
After 27 days at sea, Alan and Que finally docked in Australia, where Alan found out that they had been reported missing. He had no idea that people were looking for them, but luckily they were perfectly safe the entire time.
It’s safe to say that Que had quite an interesting experience with her father one she definitely won’t ever forget.
