Man Takes Photo Of Mystery Couples Mountaintop Proposal, Then Decides To Hunt Them Down
What started out as a road trip through the mountain ranges of Portland, Oregon turned into a memory of a lifetime for a young couple.
Alex Gensitskiy was aimlessly driving along when he spotted Munra Point rising like a beacon into the grey fog.
He turned to me and said, you know what, were going to climb that mountain right there!, says Katie Verkovodthrough a toothy white grin, eyes gleaming as she recounted the moment to Inside Edition.
They trekked 90 minutes up the mountainside until they reached the top. They hugged each other, and she noticed his heart was beating abnormally fast.
Alex youre so out of shape, she naively teased him, unaware that it was just nervous – it wasnt that he was out of shape.
Alex on the other hand realized how amazing this story would be to tell his kids, so on a whim he knelt down and said, ‘I love you’ for the first time, following that with the question, will you marry me?
As they giddily made their way down the mountainside, they were only missing one thing. Both had left their phones in the car, so they werent able to capture theprecious moments of their proposal on camera.
Little did they know that a man, Paul Wolfe, who was taking in the view had turned around just in time to see their silhouettes and snap a picture! The only obstacle was they were complete strangers and miles away from each other at the time.
But Paul decided he wasnt going to keep this moment to himself. Instead, he created posts on Facebook, Instagram and Reddit in an effort to give their mountain top engagement a fairytale ending.
