Sam De Sillery is a resident of a suburb of Perth, Australia. Her neighborhood has been the target of thieves breaking into cars to steal valuables.

The mom’s vehicle was one of the ones damaged in the process.

But instead of getting angry, the mother sympathized with the thieves, knowing that people go through rough times and do what they have to in order to survive.

So she put up a large sign on her fence.

In just a few words, it expressed a kindness not often offered to thieves and wrongdoers…

It read: “For thoughs [sic] who keep breaking into my car, and smashing my neighbors car windows, we are all doing it tough, if its food that you need I will feed you, if you need warmth I have rugs, but most of all I can be your friend.”

Sam tells LittleThings, “It’sharder to have faith in people than it is to blame them.”
