Woman With Facial Birthmark Is Humiliated At Make-Up Counter, Then A Horrified Teacher Steps In
In the video below, a woman with a noticeable birthmark is humiliated by a makeup artist.
In a fascinating social experiment set up by the folks at “What Would You Do?,” Kennedy (an actor) wears a fake port-wine stain birthmark on her face. In character, she visits a cosmetics store and is shopping for the right shade of lipstick. That’s when Diana, the makeup artist on staff (also an actor), responds to the birthmark in the cruelest way.
Diana’s insults go from subtle to downright humiliating. The other customers in the store, who have no idea their reactions are being caught on hidden camera, hear Diana throw horrible insults at Kennedy: “I’ve never seen anything like that. How do you live like that? I can make you look normal.”
As Kennedy grows more insecure about her birthmark, the bystanders waste no time putting Diana in her place.
But things take a more extreme turn when Diana says she’s worried Kennedy’s birthmark is contagious, and puts on a pair of rubber gloves.
Enter Barbara, an elementary school teacher who is disgusted by the staffer’s treatment of Kennedy.
Watch the video below to see what Barbara has to say to the rude makeup artist. If only more people were brave enough to speak up like this.
